For your convenience a Chemist, Radiologist, Pathologist, Physiotherapist , Optometrist and a Podiatrist are all present in the same complex.
Our doctors offer the full range of general practice medical services including:
Routine childhood vaccinations for children from birth to age sixteen are bulk billed 9:00 am to 6:00 pm weekdays. Please make an appointment for this service. When making an appointment for vaccinations please indicate to the receptionist that the appointment is for a vaccination.
Cryotherapy (freezing) of warts or minor sun spots can be done at this clinic. Please make an appointment to speak to your doctor about this.
Travel advice and vaccinations are available – In general, and if time allows, please make an appointment to see your doctor at least six weeks before you travel. Specialised Travel Medicine advice is also available from Dr. Michael Long at our sister clinic: Fountain Gate Medical Centre (Phone: 9704 8011) including on-site Yellow Fever vaccinations.
Industrial Medicine – Southern Cross Medical Centre provides all aspects of industrial medicine. Dr Paul Sandhu has a certificate in industrial medicine and has a special interest in this area. The services provided including:
- Pre Employment Medicals
- Ongoing Injury Management
- Spirometry (lung testing)
- Vaccinations (flu vaccine, tetanus vaccine, hepatitis immunisation etc.)
- WORK Site VISITS
- On site influenza vaccinations
Mole Checks – HAVE YOU HAD THAT MOLE CHECKED? – Photos of moles can be taken if required. Moles are checked with a dermatascope (Heine Delta 20). prevention is better than cure. If necessary moles can be removed at the clinic.
Health Assessments: Southern Cross Medical Centre also provides four year old childhood assessments, 45 year old health assessments, Women’s Health, and Diabetes and Asthma Management. Make an appointment with your Doctor to discuss these options.
House Calls: If you are too sick to come to the clinic, we can visit you if you live in Hampton Park. There will be a charge for house calls. Requests for House calls are best made in the morning. Please remember that house calls are time consuming, so make every effort to get to the surgery if you are able.
Telephoning your Doctor: Please indicate to the receptionist if the problem is of an urgent natue. if the Doctors are busy seeing patients, they may need to call you back if it is not an urgent matter.
The Clinic also has appointments available on site with a Dietician, Podiatrist and a Pyschologist.
The Clinic has wheelchair access and ample parking in the front and at the rear of the complex.
